About Us

The International Organization of International Law (IOV) is a non-governmental organization that joined the Geneva Conventions through ratification in October 2023 at the Federal Council in BERN.

This accession was also communicated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the process number Ratification-31102023.

The IOV fulfills its mission according to Article 144 of the Geneva Conventions IV and UN Resolution 53/144, educates on international law, and protects civilians from violations of international law. In particular, it highlights all legally relevant issues that authorities should consider when dealing with a civilian in domestic actions.

The ratification was carried out in accordance with Geneva Conventions IV Art. 132 and Art. 140. All authorities should also have been trained in Geneva Conventions IV (see Art. 144) in order not to violate the rights of civilians.

As responsible members of the United Nations and administrators of a territory whose population is not yet fully self-governing, we commit ourselves to the principle that the well-being of the inhabitants is of paramount importance. We pledge ourselves as a sacred duty, in accordance with the UN Charter based on world peace and international security, to promote the well-being of these people.

Our goals are:

• Promoting political, economic, social, and educational progress, ensuring fair treatment, and protecting our people from abuses, while preserving their cultural identity.
• Developing self-government, taking into account the political ambitions of our people and supporting them in the development of their political institutions.
• Strengthening world peace and international security.
• Supporting building and development initiatives, promoting research, and collaborating with international specialized organizations to achieve social, economic, and scientific goals.

IOV Objective

The International Organization for International Law grants legal certainty through international law. The Fourth Geneva Convention provides the legal framework for the protection of individuals. Registered individuals have the opportunity to change their jurisdiction to an international arbitral tribunal and enjoy partial immunity. Registration with the International Organization for International Law offers:

1. Protection under international law,
2. Granting of partial immunity
3. Engagement in the field of international law,
4. Offering training in international law, support in implementing the "Sacred Duty," including the liberation, repatriation, and hospitalisation of persons to be protected, in order to realise the right to self-determination of peoples.

What we do

Documents with incontrovertible evidence legitimise the IOV and the GdM in accordance with Article 5b A/RES/53/144 as protecting power under the Association Charter of 06.08.2023. IOV delegates provide support to registered protected persons. International law prohibits tax payments that could be used for military purposes. Changes in jurisdiction prevent German courts from initiating proceedings against immunity-entitled protected persons. According to Article 73 of the UN Charter, the IOV supports the "Sacred Duty" to assist protected persons in release, repatriation, and hospitalisation.
